Collection Matters

Our training and experience has given us the ability to not just have a working knowledge of the principles of collection law, but also how to apply them imaginatively. Because we have both brought collection lawsuits on behalf of creditors and defended them on behalf of debtors, we have developed a well-rounded practice in this area.

We are available to handle both large and small collection matters.  In regard to the smaller matters, we endeavor to utilize our paralegals to handle some of the underlying services involved, so as to reduce the cost.  Likewise, we have the training and resources to handle much larger collection matters (in the millions or tens of millions of dollars).

Foreclosure

Given the problems emerging in the national economy, there will be a growing need for attorneys that handle foreclosure issues. We can handle such matters in both New Jersey and New York.

We can both bring a foreclosure matter and defend against one. We have a working knowledge of the critical laws that govern what can and cannot be raised as claims and defenses in a foreclosure matter. In particular, we are familiar with the New Jersey Fair Foreclosure Act and the New York Real Property Actions Law.

Judgments

The ultimate goal in any litigation is presumably to obtain a judgment. There is a large body of laws and procedures that concern how to collect (and to prevent the collection of) a judgment.

We have extensive experience in judgment collection matters. We are fully familiar with the strategy and tactics involved in both obtaining the satisfaction of a judgment, and in defending against such efforts.
