Business Practice

 

As a principal at the Nissenbaum Law Group, LLC, Gavin I. Handwerker, Esq., is the head of the firm’s litigation practice.  Mr. Handwerker has extensive experience in both state and federal commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation.  He also has years of experience practicing in other areas of litigation including criminal defense, personal injury, matrimonial law and dental malpractice.  Mr. Handwerker has advocated for his clients in numerous jurisdictions not only in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, but in other States consistent with the rules governing practice in those Courts.  He also has experience in negotiating settlement agreements, preparing matters for appeal, and evaluating expert testimony.  Mr. Handwerker also has experience in transactional law including his involvement in multimillion dollar commercial and residential real estate transactions.  In addition to his position with the Nissenbaum Law Group, he is currently a part-time Public Defender for the Town of Westfield, New Jersey.
